Stephanie Howard, Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern

Stephanie Howard, MS, is a Marriage and Family Therapist graduate from Capella University who is currently completing her post-graduate supervised clinical hours as part of the Florida Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern licensure process. At Revive Family Counseling, Stephanie works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, helping clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion, evidence-based care, and a commitment to lasting growth.

Stephanie believes that healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in systemic and relational therapy, recognizing that emotional wellbeing is shaped by family dynamics, life experiences, and the relationships we build throughout life. She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore challenges, strengthen resilience, and develop practical tools for meaningful change.

Stephanie works with clients experiencing:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Relationship and marital concerns
  • Family conflict
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Life transitions
  • Stress management
  • Attachment and relational issues
  • Self-esteem and personal growth

Therapeutic Approach

Stephanie tailors treatment to each client’s unique goals by integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness.
  • The Gottman Method to help couples improve communication, manage conflict, and deepen emotional intimacy.
  • Attachment-Based Therapy to foster healthier relationships and build secure emotional connections.

Her collaborative, strengths-based approach empowers clients to gain insight, develop healthier coping skills, and create positive, lasting change. Stephanie is especially passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, supporting couples in rebuilding trust and connection, and assisting families in creating healthier patterns for future generations.

Professional Philosophy

Stephanie believes every person possesses the capacity for healing, resilience, and growth. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients during difficult seasons, providing compassionate guidance while helping them discover their strengths and move toward healthier relationships and emotional wellbeing.

Her Christian faith shapes her personal values of compassion, hope, and service while she warmly welcomes individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and life experiences.

Outside the Office

Outside of counseling, Stephanie enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling, reading, and cooking for family and friends. She is a devoted mother who values creating peaceful, meaningful spaces where people feel supported and cared for. Stephanie finds great joy in watching individuals, couples, and families experience healing, restoration, and renewed hope.
