Edita is the founder and owner of Revive Family Counseling (RFC) in Fort Myers Est in 2018. Edita is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is also a Qualified Supervisor for Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling Graduates, who are seeking licensure in the state of FL.
Edita’s vision for RFC grew out of her “passion to help people grow, achieve their highest potential and live fulfilled lives”. Edita’s mission for RFC is to “provide our community with skilled and vetted clinicians to help clients feel confident in choosing to seek help and transform their lives”.
Education: Edita studied at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Edita is now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida and Qualified Supervisor since 2018. Edita supervises and mentors MFT and MHC- Masters/Doctorate Level graduates seeking licensure in the state of FL.
Experience: Prior to founding her private practice, Edita worked for a non-profit company in Fort Myers for nearly a decade. She worked with terminally ill patients and their grieving and bereaved families as well as staff members dealing with secondary traumas. Edita is a motivated individual always striving to achieve more out of life. In 2018, Edita decided to branch out into the private practice field. She then has founded Revive Family Counseling based on her vision to help people achieve their highest potential and live fulfilled lives. At Revive Family Counseling, Edita continues to work with families, couples and individuals who struggle with relationship issues. She finds the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy to be most helpful when working with couples. When working with families, Edita utilizes the Bowenian Family Therapy Method. Edita is a FL Board Qualified Supervisor and she oversees graduates seeking licensure. Edita ensures that the RFC runs smoothly and staff are following RFC vision and mission. As new therapists are added to the RFC roster, Edita ensures that they are vetted and qualified to provide the best possible care to each individual under the care of RFC. Edita has become a trusted referral source in the community since founding Revive Family Counseling, LLC.
Hobbies and self improvement: Edita’s hobbies include tennis, learning, traveling and spending time with family. Edita has moved to the United States from her home country of Slovakia in early adulthood. She speaks multiple languages including English, Slovak and Hungarian. Edita takes pride in having a supportive husband and a large blended family, including three of her biological children and two ‘bonus’ children (bonus= step). Edita is working as an independent private counselor and contracting with EAP providers in Lee, Collier and surrounding counties.
