Personal Background: Peter grew up in Slovakia and moved to the United States in 1999. He speaks English and Slovak. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Saint Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, PA in 2001 and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University in North Canton, OH in 2023.
Experience: Peter has worked with many people who have searched for guidance before and during marriage, coped with relational challenges and break-ups, searched for meaning during the time of illness and dying, and experienced a sense of loss due to material, physical, financial, and relational changes. He is motivated and inspired to work with survivors of sexual harassment and/or sexual abuse.
Approach: Peter’s approach to therapy is to help clients discover patterns in their lives that may be causing them cyclical frustrations and disappointments. He believes that self-examination, remaining still, however uncomfortable, rather than throwing one’s challenging emotions away “like a boomerang,” is essential for beginning a new and vibrant life. He also stresses the importance of self-care and a combination of honesty and kindness toward self and others. Peter works under the clinical guidance of Edita Hall, LMFT, QS.
